Flats on the front, bungalows behind
Rhyl's front and West Parade are converted Victorian hotels and newer blocks of flats: floors, lifts, and where the van can stop on a promenade with parking restrictions. Behind the front, Rhyl and Prestatyn are bungalows and semis on wide roads, the easiest houses in North Wales to move, with the van on the drive. The estates at Kinmel Bay and Towyn are the same, plus the holiday-park chalets that are a small-van job.
Arriving from a long way away
A move to the coast from the South East or the Midlands is a two-day job for the crew or a one-day job with the load held overnight in our Chester storage, forty-five minutes short of the coast, which is usually the cheaper and calmer plan. On a downsizing move, the pieces that will not fit can go into storage at Chester until a decision is made.
Inland: Rhuddlan, St Asaph, Dyserth and the Vale
Rhuddlan, St Asaph, Bodelwyddan, Dyserth, Meliden and Trelawnyd are villages of semis, bungalows and older stone houses. Access is straightforward; the quote asks about the odd narrow lane and the stairs in the older houses.
