Villas, flats and the hill
The villas on the slopes of Colwyn Bay, Old Colwyn and Rhos-on-Sea have steep drives, long flights of steps to the front door and pianos that have been there since the house was built. Llandudno's Mostyn Street and promenade flats have lifts of varying size and a one-way system to plan around. Craig-y-Don and the Great Orme side are terraces with on-street parking. The crew is sized for the carry, and the pieces that must go down a Victorian stair are export wrapped first.
Conwy, Deganwy and the Junction
Conwy inside the walls is narrow streets and a bay suspension when the house is on one of them; Deganwy is larger houses with drives; Llandudno Junction, Mochdre and Glan Conwy are estates and semis, the easiest days on this coast. The A55 runs through the middle of all of it, so nothing here is more than fifteen minutes from the road.
Moves to the coast and back inland
A move to this coast, or back inland to be nearer family, is quoted from wherever it starts, with our Chester storage an hour short of the coast for the overnight or the gap between completions. When a villa is swapped for a flat, the surplus can go into storage until the family decides.
