Our vans, our moves and our storage
Every photograph here is our own, taken on our jobs and at our stores: the vans, the crew at work, the way furniture is wrapped and labelled, and the storage at Rhayader and in Chester. No stock photos. Tap any photo to see it larger. Each group links to the service it shows.
The people you see are our own crew. We keep our customers out of the pictures: no faces, no house numbers and no number plates other than those of our own vans. If you spot your house and would rather it was not here, please tell us.
Our fleet
Our own Luton box vans in the blue Duffield livery, with Removals, House Clearance and Waste Disposal on the side and our phone numbers on the back. They are Renault Master, Vauxhall Movano and Mercedes Sprinter Lutons, eight vans in all as of September 2026.
A bigger house gets two, three or four of them on the same day, so the whole load goes in one trip and arrives together.

Moves in progress
Houses, cottages, farmhouses, flats and new builds, loaded by our own crews. A lot of the work is before anything is carried: the ramp out, door frames covered, and a plan for farm tracks, a timber bridge or a terraced street with double yellow lines.
Customers stay out of the pictures. You will see our crew and our vans, never a customer's face or a house number.

Packing and protection
Grey felt blankets, quilted covers for mattresses and wardrobes, black stretch film and bubble wrap, and clear film over stair and landing carpets. Boxes are labelled by room and marked fragile, and each load is strapped before the van moves.
The upright piano here was stretch-wrapped and travelled upright, strapped to the van wall. The office photos are from one office move where every chair and desk was bubble-wrapped before it left the building.

Storage at Rhayader
Our storage yard at Rhayader in Mid Wales. Outside is a row of blue 20 ft containers, each holding about two Luton loads; inside THE FORGE, smaller loads are kept in wooden crates.
Nobody is on site round the clock, so visits are by arrangement. We do the collecting and the delivering back.

Storage in Chester
The green arched barn at our workshop in Chester, where removals storage is available by arrangement. It sits inside a working yard, so access is always booked in advance. Photos of the inside will follow.

In the community
Every year we give our time and our vans to the Christmas tree collection for Hospice of the Good Shepherd in Chester, and Leanne goes out on the round with the crew. Same vans, same people as on a moving day.
