The expanded town
Trehafren, Maesyrhandir, Vaynor and Garth Owen are the estates that doubled Newtown's size: semis and terraces on estate roads with parking outside, easy days for the crew, though the older estate layouts have tight corners, which is why a Luton is the right vehicle. The Victorian streets around Broad Street, the station and the river are on-street parking and short carries. Newer developments at Milford and along the Llanidloes road are drives and garages.
