Llandrindod Wells is the spa town in the middle of Powys and the council's headquarters, thirty-five minutes from our Mid Wales base and twenty from our storage at Rhayader. The town is Victorian: tall villas and terraces built for the spa visitors, many now flats, with wide streets that a Luton parks on easily and stairs that were not built for wardrobes. Around it, Howey, Crossgates, Penybont, Newbridge-on-Wye and Builth Wells are villages, farms and a second market town.

Spa-town houses

The villas on Temple Street, Park Crescent, Spa Road and around the lake are three and four storeys with the original stairs, and a good number are divided into flats. The plan is a crew sized for the stairs, export wrapping on the larger pieces, and a Luton on the road outside, which is rarely a problem here. The newer estates at Tremont and on the Ithon side are semis and bungalows with drives.

Builth Wells and the villages

Builth Wells is a market town on the Wye with terraces and semis, busy in July for the Royal Welsh Show, when the roads and the accommodation fill and we plan a move around it. Howey, Crossgates, Penybont, Llanbister, Newbridge-on-Wye and Llanelwedd are villages and farms where the lane and the gateway decide the vehicle.

Storage twenty minutes away

Rhayader is twenty minutes up the A470. We collect, wrap and store your things there and deliver them back, so a completion gap or a renovation is a phone call rather than a van hire.

Council, offices and the long moves

Offices in the town can move out of hours; if the building has rules for contractors, send them with the quote request and we will tell you what we can provide. For long-distance moves, the A470 and A44 put Hereford, the M50 and the M5 within an hour and a half.
